Bringing star power to the annual Turkey Day tradition, Daniel Radcliffe was among the stars soaking up attention during the 85th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday morning (November 24).

The "Harry Potter" actor joined his 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' castmates as the group performed and waved to the amassed crowd lining the streets of the Big Apple while proudly partaking in the holiday festivities consisting of 800 clowns, 1,600 cheerleaders and 27 floats including the Pillsbury Doughboy, Snoopy, Spider-Man and a Smurf.

As for others involved in this year's Macy's parade, the show featured performances by Avril Lavigne, Cobra Starship, Mary J Blige, Cee Lo Green, Scotty McCreery (who suffered a lip syncing slipup) and Neil Diamond while Miss America Teresa Scanlan, Debi Mazar, Johnny Weir and Zendaya were also on-hand.

Of the opportunity to join in on such a grand event, Miss Lavigne told press, "Yeah I am pretty excited. I am going to be performing on a float in a parade. I have never really done anything like that before but I have my winter coat and it is going to be good fun.”

Meanwhile, Cee-Lo Green perched himself atop a float featuring young hockey players while telling the crowd, "I feel like a kid all over, man, you know".

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade draws tens of thousands of spectators, with its inception coming in 1924 "when employees from the department store marched in costume from Harlem to Macy's flagship store on 34th Street."

The parade has taken place every year since aside from 1942-44 when helium and rubber were at a premium during WWII.
